Consider an ordinance authorizing a Street Light Agreement Letter with CenterPoint Energy for the removal, installation, and maintenance of street lighting along Ward Rd. from N. Main St. to Alexander Dr.
This proposed ordinance authorizes an agreement between the City and CenterPoint Energy for the replacement of street lights on Ward Road from North Main Street to Alexander Drive in the amount of $53,756.00.
The street light replacement is part of an upgrade for a beautification request for Ward Road. The agreement for the replacement consists of two parts: the removal of the old units, and the installation of the new streetlights. The removal consists of removing 16 existing streetlights for $4,423.00. The installation of new units consists of installing 16 double arm, black powder coated poles with Cobra LED style luminaires for $49,333.00. The total cost of the project is $53,756.00 with a project duration of 180 days.
