Consider an ordinance ordering a City of Baytown Special Election to be held on November 2, 2021, for the purpose of voting for or against a proposition calling for the continuation of the street maintenance sales tax for another four (4) years.
PREFACE
This proposed ordinance calls the City of Baytown Special Election to be held on November 2, 2021, for the purpose of voting for or against a proposition calling for the continuation of the street maintenance sales tax for another four (4) years.

The City will contract both Harris and Chambers Counties for election services related to the November 2nd elections; thus, many of the details regarding the election have not been finalized at this time.  Educational materials will be posted on the City's website, mailed to residents as a utility bill insert and available in city hall and the library.

However, below is a list of important dates that were available at the time of this posting:

Last Day to Register to Vote 10/04/2021
Early Voting
Notice of branch early voting schedule will be posted as soon as that information is received from the respective counties.
10/18/2021 - 10/29/2021
Last Day to Apply for a Ballot by Mail (Received, Not Postmarked) 10/22/2021
Election Day, 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. 11/02/2021
Canvass Election Results (if no there is no run-off) 11/15/2021
