Consider a resolution authorizing the City of Baytown to make application for the 2020 grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy for the Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Program.
This proposed resolution authorizes the City of Baytown to make application for a 2020 grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy ("ONDCP") for the Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area ("HIDTA") Program and authorizes the City Manager to take all actions necessary to accept and implement the grant.
The City has been informed that it has been awarded a grant from the HIDTA Program. This grant totals $1,329,402.00 for program administrative costs plus allowable indirect costs to the City of Baytown. The Police Department is acting as the agent for this federal project. Funds are available through the Office of National Drug Control Policy. This program will be funded 100% by the Federal Government and no matching City funds are required.
