Consider an ordinance awarding the Wayfinding Signage Project to Geograph Industries, Inc., for the construction and installation of wayfinding signage in Baytown.
Consider an ordinance authorizing the award of the Wayfinding Signage Project to Geograph Industries, Inc., in the amount of $254,248.00.
This is a complete turnkey construction and installation of the Wayfinding Signage Project for signs installed at locations specified by the City. This contract will consist of all necessary parts, materials, equipment, freight, delivery, construction, installation, labor, time and any other costs associated with the project.
Sign locations will be in the TxDOT right of ways, City-wide locations and the Downtown Arts District.
Proposal packets were sent to seven companies. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on February 3, 2020 at 10 a.m., with two companies in attendance.
Two proposals were received and opened on February 27, 2020 at 2 p.m. One proposal was incomplete and did not contain the required bonding.
The proposal of Geograph Industries contained all required documents and met specifications. The expected timeline to complete the project is 150 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
Staff recommends approval.
